Basketball Recap: Hannah Beggs' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clarion-Limestone over North Clarion

If Clarion-Limestone was riding high fresh off their 60-21 takedown of Curwensville last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clarion-Limestone Lions fell 58-47 to the North Clarion Wolves on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Wolves : they've now lost six in a row.

Clarion-Limestone's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Beggs, who posted 16 points and six boards. Julianna Schwabenbauer was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Clarion-Limestone's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for North Clarion, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.
