Softball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Gilmer duked it out with Ridgeland on Thursday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 9-8. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Gilmer saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braley Stewart, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Phoenix Addie was another, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Gilmer's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Ridgeland, their record now sits at 11-14.

Gilmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ridgeland, they will challenge Armuchee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
