Baseball Recap: Monroe Area Takes a Loss

Monroe Area lost against Jefferson last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Purple Hurricanes fell 5-2 to the Dragons. The Purple Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monroe Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Sims, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those doubles marked the first that Sims hit this season.

Monroe Area's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Jefferson, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

While Monroe Area had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
