Basketball Game Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Escalon Cougars

Ripon and Escalon are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Ripon Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Escalon Cougars at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ripon is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Pacheco just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 41-33 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Escalon beat West 47-41 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Escalon, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-8.

Ripon took a serious blow against Escalon in their previous meeting back in February, falling 52-24. Thankfully for Ripon, Sammy Lang (who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
