Volleyball Recap: Rush City Tigers vs. Albany Huskies
Rush City was the 2-0 winner over Albany when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Albany can attribute much of their success to Katie Brickweg, who had 14 digs and two assists. Brickweg is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Lillian VanHeel also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Rush City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Albany, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.
Rush City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Concordia Academy on the 20th. As for Albany, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Watertown-Mayer on the 20th.
