Baseball Recap: Skipstone Academy Takes a Loss

Skipstone Academy lost against Creekside Christian Academy on March 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Skipstone Academy Warriors came up short against the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars, falling 16-2. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Skipstone Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Cook, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run was Cook's first of the season.

Skipstone Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Creekside Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Skipstone Academy will face off against Strong Rock Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Skipstone Academy has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Creekside Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Creekside Christian Academy Cougars take on Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
