Jacobs won against St. Charles North on Saturday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Palatine Pirates. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 10-6 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Elliot Ross looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Flaskamp, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Vincent, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Jacobs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Palatine, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-14.

As of now, neither Jacobs nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
