Softball Recap: Jay Comes Up Short

Jay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 17-8 to the Wyandotte Bears. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Bears when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harper Dry was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Jordan Youngpuppy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Jay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wyandotte, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coming up, Jay will head out on the road to square off against Oologah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wyandotte, they will venture away from home to face off against Pryor at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
