Baseball Recap: Corry Comes Up Short

Corry and Sharon squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Corry had to settle for second. They lost 11-4 to the Tigers. The Beavers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2018.

Corry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Swan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Swan has become a key player for the Beavers: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-10 otherwise. Jackson Lathrop also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Corry's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Sharon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

As of now, neither Corry nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
