Softball Game Preview: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Rockmart Yellowjackets

The Bremen Blue Devils will face off against the Rockmart Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Bremen sitting on seven straight victories and Rockmart on five.

Bremen proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Heard County 3-2.

Meanwhile, Rockmart hadn't done well against Sonoraville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets skirted past the Phoenix 3-2. The game was the first time the Yellowjackets have beaten the Phoenix on their field since September 14, 2019.

Rockmart's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Bremen, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Everything went Bremen's way against Rockmart when the teams last played back in August of 2022, as Bremen made off with an 11-2 win. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellowjackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
