Soccer Game Preview: Richards vs. Crete-Monee

The Richards Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Crete-Monee Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Richards is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Lemont on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Lemont HS, falling 3-0. Richards have struggled against Lemont recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Crete-Monee lost 4-1 to Bloom on Tuesday.

Crete-Monee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Richards, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Everything went Richards' way against Crete-Monee in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, as Richards made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
