Football Game Preview: Warroad Warriors vs. Pelican Rapids Vikings

The Warroad Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Pelican Rapids Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Warroad is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Warroad came up short against Park Rapids and fell 27-14.

Warroad's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Conner Lund, who rushed for 73 yards and one TD, and Mason McMillin, who threw for 108 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Pelican Rapids played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 50-30 to Roseau. The Vikings were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Rams in the fourth quarter 16-8.

Warroad's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pelican Rapids, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Warroad suffered a grim 52-27 defeat to Pelican Rapids in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
