Apalachee and Walnut Grove are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will square off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Apalachee's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six contests, but Wednesday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Apalachee fell victim to Campbell and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Walnut Grove suffered their closest defeat since March 4th on Friday. They fell just short of East Forsyth by a score of 3-1.

Walnut Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Martell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Walnut Grove's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for Apalachee, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Apalachee skirted past Walnut Grove 6-5 in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
