Softball Game Preview: West Central Valley Wildcats vs. East Union Eagles

The West Central Valley Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the East Union Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Union took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Central Valley, who comes in off a win.

West Central Valley will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Woodward-Granger, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Hawks on Monday.

Meanwhile, East Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 14-7 to Central Decatur. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since June 22, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The win got West Central Valley back to even at 9-9. As for East Union, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

West Central Valley took their victory against East Union in their previous meeting back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
