Trego is 0-4 against St. Francis since October of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Trego will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Trego's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Quinter, posting a 50-0 win. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Golden Eagles this season.

Ashton Wynn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 83 yards and four TDs. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Vladon Crawford was in the mix too, providing Trego with two scores.
Another reason for the win was Trego's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. In that department, Jared Aschenbrenner was the leader with 2.5. He has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Francis). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-0 victory over Stockton. The Indians have beaten the Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.
St. Francis found their leader in sophomore Zylas Martinez, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 39 yards and one TD. Martinez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Layn Todd was another key player, rushing for 72 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Francis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
St. Francis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Wyatt Klinzmann led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Trego's record is now 8-0. As for St. Francis, their record now sits at 5-3.
Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Trego has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 198.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like St. Francis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 149.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Trego was taken down by St. Francis 60-12 in their previous matchup back in October of 2019. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Golden Eagles were down 54-12.
