Basketball Recap: Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech Wins Going Away Against Penn Treaty

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech walked away with it. They strolled past the Penn Treaty Wolves with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 38-24. For Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech, this counts as revenge for the 63-38 victory Penn Treaty walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

Aliyah Rogers and Isabella Ortiz certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rogers went 6 for 15 on her way to 13 points, while Ortiz posted 11 points. That was a full 45.8% of Penn Treaty's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

The win made it two in a row for Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech and bumps their season record up to 9-13. As for Penn Treaty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech will head out on the road to face off against Audenried at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Audenried is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.3 points per game this season. Penn Treaty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
