Basketball Recap: Pottsgrove Falcons vs. Phoenixville Phantoms
The Pottsgrove Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Phoenixville on the road and fell 66-37. Pottsgrove has not had much luck with the Phantoms recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Pottsgrove still got an impressive performance from Jessica Carroll, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Eckman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Pottsgrove has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Phoenixville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Pottsgrove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Phoenixville will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
