Softball Recap: Woodward Starts Season with Victory Against Mooreland

Woodward had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Mooreland Bearcats a 9-0 shutout. The Boomers haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

This is the second loss in a row for Mooreland and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Woodward and Mooreland will both be playing Laverne the next time they take the field. The Bearcats will head out to face the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Boomers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
