Riverdale Ridge is a perfect 5-0 against Boulder since August of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Riverdale Ridge's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Brighton as they made off with a 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.
The result came thanks to Aubri Lerch's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Peyton Saenz was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Simmons, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Riverdale Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Boulder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Prairie View, falling 18-2.
Boulder saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alissa Zacharewicz, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Boulder's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Riverdale Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
Boulder's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Riverdale Ridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .538. It's a different story for Boulder, though, as they've only averaged .351. Will they be able to contain Riverdale Ridge's hitters?
