It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pierce County had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Therrell Panthers as they made off with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Pierce County, bringing their record up to 20-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Therrell, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pierce County beat the Panthers by a score of 18-3 later that day.
