Basketball Recap: iSchool of Lewisville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Grind Prep last Thursday, ISchool of Lewisville came back down to earth. The iSchool of Lewisville Cougar fell to the Dynamic Prep - 61-55. The Cougar have struggled against the - recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, iSchool of Lewisville still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Lawal, who went 8 for 18 en route to 24 points. With that strong performance, Lawal is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Mario Wooden was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Jaden Toombs continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dynamic Prep, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Toombs is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jermaine O'Neal Jr., who went 6 of 9 on his way to 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

ISchool of Lewisville's loss dropped their record down to 16-2. As for Dynamic Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

ISchool of Lewisville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-64 win against R.W. Goines Stem Academy on the 30th. As for Dynamic Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-36 victory against iSchool of Lewisville on the 7th.
