Sulphur Springs extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 9-1. They walked away with a 20-13 win over the Panther Creek Panthers. The score was all tied up 10-10 at the break, but the Wildcats were the (much) better team in the second half.

Sulphur Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxson Haire, who rushed for 114 yards.

As for Panther Creek, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2. Having soared to a lofty 52 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Panther Creek lost, don't look at Donovan Webb. Despite the final result, he rushed for 85 yards and one score, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

Sulphur Springs and Panther Creek are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wildcats will face off against Kimball at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sulphur Springs will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Panther Creek, they will take on Carter on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Cowboys' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.7 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
