            Basketball Recap: Clearfield Bison vs. North Clarion Wolves         
        
		
        
        
            Clearfield was handed a heart-breaking three-point  defeat in their last  game, but they sure didn't let that happen against North Clarion  on Friday. The Clearfield Bison really took it to the North Clarion Wolves  for the full four quarters, racking up  a  70-38 win. The Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four  matches by 29  points or more this season.
Clearfield's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Sonny Diehl, who  dropped  a double-double on 15  points and 15  rebounds. The  contest was  Diehl's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Mia Helsel, who  went 9 for 20  en route to 23 points and eight  boards.

 Clearfield  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 23  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 62.4 points per game. As for North Clarion,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearfield will face off against Central at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Clearfield has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three matches. As for North Clarion, they will square off against Redbank Valley at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Redbank Valley will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something North Clarion surely won't give up without a fight.
