Volleyball Recap: Oak Grove Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Oak Grove Classical Academy suffered their biggest loss since September 2nd on Thursday. They came up short against the Legacy Academy Silverbacks, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Silverbacks: they've now lost three in a row.

While Oak Grove Classical Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-19.

Coley Hicks paced Oak Grove Classical Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Hicks got some help from Alexee Schroeder and her seven assists. Claire Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Oak Grove Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Legacy Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Oak Grove Classical Academy will face off against Menaul at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Legacy Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Mesilla Valley Christian School on the 3rd.
