Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Aliquippa's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

After losing to Beaver the last time they met, Aliquippa decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Aliquippa Quips walked away with a 50-40 victory over the Beaver Bobcats on Monday.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava Wright, who posted 14 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Wright a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Tooch, who went 5-for-8 en route to 11 points and six boards.

Aliquippa has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Beaver, their record is now 16-5.

Aliquippa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-6 win against Carmichaels on the 18th. As for Beaver, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-28 victory against Freeport on the 17th.
