Basketball Recap: Galt Takes a Loss

Galt was the 36-30 winner over Elk Grove when they last played one another on December 11th, but their luck changed this time around. The Galt Warriors received a blow on Monday as they fell 41-25 to the Elk Grove Thundering Herd. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Thundering Herd 14-9 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Galt still got an impressive performance from Antanella Feilbach, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Galt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Galt's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Elk Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galt will host Livermore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elk Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
