Basketball Recap: Kennedy Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kennedy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Swett Warriors by a score of 44-35.

Kennedy found their leader in sophomore Payton Siquig, who almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. Kennedy is 8-4 when Siquig posts 20 or more points, but 4-9 otherwise. Catherine Cheng was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Kennedy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 12-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Swett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-37 victory against Willits on the 21st. Swett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
