Forney hasn't had much luck against Longview recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jackrabbits will venture away from home to challenge the Lobos at 7:30 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,039 yards in their previous games.
Forney took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Royse City with points to spare, taking the game 40-26. The victory continues a trend for the Jackrabbits in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Javian Osborne produced another solid performance rushing for 309 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Those 309 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Imari Jehiel also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Forney was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 327 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 198 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Longview didn't have too much trouble with Rockwall on Friday as they won 35-21.
Longview's win came from a few key players Forney will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was JOHNNY HAMILTON, who rushed for 43 yards and one score, and also threw for 158 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes. Another player making a difference was JACAIDEN DAVIS, who rushed for 88 yards and one TD on only five carries.
Forney's record is now 4-2. As for Longview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Forney has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 222.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Longview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 202.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Forney took a serious blow against Longview in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 41-14. Thankfully for the Jackrabbits, Kelvin Washington (who rushed for 265 yards and four scores on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
