The Ferndale Wildcats will take on the St. Bernard's Crusaders at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ferndale posted their biggest win since December 7, 2023 on Friday. Everything went their way against South Fork as Ferndale made off with a 49-26 victory. Given Ferndale's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while South Fork is ranked 916th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard's humbled Campolindo with a 59-28 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.
Laila Florvilus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Shanahan, who scored 14 points.
Ferndale's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for St. Bernard's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.
Ferndale came up short against St. Bernard's when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 46-35. Can Ferndale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
