Basketball Recap: Inglewood Comes Up Short

Inglewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 65-14 loss at the hands of the Lawndale Cardinals. The game marked the Sentinels' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lawndale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Telayia Fuller, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Fuller has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalani Pearson, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

Inglewood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Lawndale, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.

Inglewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lawndale, they will be playing at home against Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
