Football Game Preview: Andover Central Jaguars vs. Abilene Cowboys

The Andover Central Jaguars will venture away from home to square off against the Abilene Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Andover Central had taken Andover down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Jaguars lost to the Trojans at home by a 28-14 margin.

Meanwhile, Abilene unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 27-9 to Wamego. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, the Cowboys couldn't push the score so high this time.

Andover Central's record now sits at 4-4. As for Abilene, their record is now 5-3.

Andover Central beat Abilene 28-21 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Cowboys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
