Football Recap: Klein Forest Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The matchup between Klein Forest and Klein Cain on Friday hardly resembled the 16-3 effort from their previous meeting. The Eagles were beaten by the Hurricanes 56-22. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost three in a row.

Klein Forest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Robinson, who rushed for 104 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 135 yards and one touchdown. The Eagles also got a significant boost from Dejaune Etheridge, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

Klein Cain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eyan Johnson, who rushed for 133 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries. Jah'Rin Louis was another key player, rushing for 115 yards and two scores on only 14 carries.

Klein Forest's record now sits at 2-6. As for Klein Cain, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Klein Forest and Klein Cain will both be playing Klein Collins the next time they take the field. The Hurricanes will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
