Volleyball Recap: Windsor Wizards vs. Lutheran Lions
Windsor faced Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wizards sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wizards have posted since September 6th.

Windsor's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Smiley, who had 42 digs and four aces. Those 42 digs gave Smiley a new career-high. Jasmine White was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Windsor was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lutheran only served six.

The victory made it two in a row for Windsor and bumps their season record up to 16-6. As for Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.
Windsor has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Rampart on the 1st. As for Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Chaparral on the 1st.
