Soccer Game Preview: Darlington vs. Temple

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.

Darlington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Model on Monday. They lost 5-0 to the Blue Devils.

Meanwhile, Temple hadn't done well against Pepperell recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Temple's defense stepped up to hand Pepperell a 2-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Temple were the better team in the second half.

Jalen Wirth was the driving force of Temple's attack as he scored both of Temple's goals, bringing his season total up to 20 goals.

Temple is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six games. Darlington's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
