While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Brawley Wildcats who were credited with the win. The Brawley Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Madison Warhawks's one.

Brawley pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Madison, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
