Basketball Recap: High Point Baptist Academy Falls Short of Mount Calvary Christian in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact High Point Baptist Academy can now relate to. They lost 49-26 to the Mount Calvary Christian Chargers on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while the Chargers are ranked 147th).

Kylie Masters continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mount Calvary Christian, going 9 of 14 on her way to 19 points and five steals. Masters' evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Webb, who posted ten points along with seven boards and four steals.

High Point Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mount Calvary Christian, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Coming up, High Point Baptist Academy will venture away from home to challenge Lancaster Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they will welcome Veritas Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Calvary Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season.
