After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Foothill, West Valley was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Durham Trojans a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three contests by five goals or more so far this season.

They hit Durham with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Marlee Byxbe (2), Nya Bigelow (2), Trinity Ruberto, and Kylee Jaramillo.

The win got West Valley back to even at 3-3-1. As for Durham, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Valley will take on Shasta in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Durham, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Paradise at 3:15 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
