Baseball Recap: Hebron Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boone Grove, Hebron was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Rensselaer Central Bombers by a score of 4-1. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Bombers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Brenden Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Zac Peeler was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Camden Mulhern, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Hebron's victory bumped their record up to 14-10-1. As for Rensselaer Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hebron will head out to take on Kankakee Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rensselaer Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Tri-County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
