Basketball Game Preview: University City Centurions vs. Morse Tigers

The University City Centurions are taking a road trip to challenge the Morse Tigers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

University City is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Cathedral Catholic on Friday. University City lost 64-42 to Cathedral Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Centurions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while the Dons are ranked 84th).

The losing side was boosted by Kami Demara, who went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Topanga Tusantoso, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Morse earned a 59-48 victory over Santa Fe Christian on Saturday.

Morse's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for University City, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

University City was taken down by Morse 54-27 in their previous matchup back in January. Can University City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
