Soccer Game Preview: Trion vs. LaFayette

The Trion Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the LaFayette Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaFayette took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Trion, who comes in off a win.

Trion's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Armuchee 3-0. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, LaFayette fell victim to Christian Heritage and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 1-0. The Ramblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win made it two in a row for Trion and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two games. As for LaFayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Trion's way against LaFayette in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Trion made off with a 6-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trion since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
