Basketball Recap: Linville Hill Makes It 16 in a Row at Home

Linville Hill extended their home winning streak to 16 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Courtney Good. Everything went the Linville Hill Warriors' way against Lancaster Country Day on Thursday as the Linville Hill Warriors made off with a 69-47 win thanks in part to Good, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Desiree Smucker, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Smucker is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Linville Hill's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Lancaster Country Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linville Hill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Conestoga Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Linville Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Lancaster Country Day, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Linden Hall School for Girls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
