Soccer Game Preview: Ann Sobrato vs. Willow Glen

The Ann Sobrato Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Willow Glen Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ann Sobrato will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals back in December of 2024, then bounced right back against Harbor back in December of 2024. Ann Sobrato put the hurt on Harbor with a sharp 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Willow Glen has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 7. Neither they nor King's Academy could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Audrey Kepler and Story Mettee scored both of Willow Glen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Ann Sobrato is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five matches. Willow Glen's draw makes their record 1-4-2 this season.

Ann Sobrato skirted past Willow Glen 2-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ann Sobrato since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
