Baseball Game Preview: Taylor County Vikings vs. Covenant Academy Rams + How To Watch

The Taylor County Vikings will challenge the Covenant Academy Rams at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.

Taylor County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Marion County just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covenant Academy). They never let John Hancock Academy get on the board and left with an 8-0 win last Thursday. The Rams not only won last Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2025 (when they won 20-9).

Covenant Academy's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Taylor County, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

Taylor County got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Covenant Academy by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
