Softball Recap: Duchesne/Roncalli Takes a Loss

Duchesne/Roncalli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers. Duchesne/Roncalli was not able to make up for their loss to Bishop Neumann from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Duchesne/Roncalli saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna DeGeorge, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Duchesne/Roncalli's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Bishop Neumann, they moved to 17-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Duchesne/Roncalli will be playing at home against Douglas County West at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Duchesne/Roncalli's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcon have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Bishop Neumann, they will head out to take on Ashland-Greenwood at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 3.2, the Bluejays 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
