Football Recap: Apollo Takes a Loss

Apollo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Royalton Royals, falling 54-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Royals are ranked 128th).

Apollo's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Royalton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Apollo will welcome Milaca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Royalton, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sauk Centre at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
