American has gone 10-0 against Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The American Eagles will welcome the Washington Huskies at 7:00 p.m. American is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.

American took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 68-55 victory over Mission San Jose. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Warriors are ranked 387th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

American found their leader in sophomore Shirina Shi, who went 10 for 22 on her way to 35 points and seven assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Shi has scored at least a third of American's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Siya Kulkarni, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Washington lost to Moreau Catholic on the road by a 54-38 margin on Thursday.

American pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Washington, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

American beat Washington 64-53 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will American repeat their success, or does Washington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
