Baseball Recap: Shiloh Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Shiloh won the last time they faced Tri-Cities and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Generals were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Generals have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mark (MJ) Miller and Nathan Miller were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Miller pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Nathan tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). At bat, Miller went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Nathan scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That triple was Mark (MJ)'s first of the season.

In other batting news, Jaylen Seabrooks and Gavin Anderson did most of the damage at the plate: Seabrooks went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while Anderson went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most runs Seabrooks has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyren Morgan, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Shiloh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Shiloh's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16. As for Tri-Cities, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Shiloh will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
