Softball Recap: Treutlen Wins Going Away Against Jefferson County

Treutlen came out on top against Jefferson County on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run first inning. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Warriors. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly eight runs.

The team relied heavily on Ruthie Blair, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Gillis, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Treutlen's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Jefferson County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Treutlen will take on Telfair County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 11.8 runs per game this season. As for Jefferson County, they will be playing at home against Northeast at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
