Baseball Recap: East Forsyth Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for East Forsyth's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrison Hoyas on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Broncos were not able to get on the board.

Jackson Nichols was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, East Forsyth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesley Seifert, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. Jake Williams also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for East Forsyth and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Harrison, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

East Forsyth has already played their next matchup (against Troup County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Harrison, they will face off against North Cobb Christian at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
