After a string of six wins, Union Grove's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the Pike County Pirates, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 back in September.

Jada Jackson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Union Grove's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Pike County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Union Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pike County, they will square off against Whitewater at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
